The Last of Us Part 2 Mod Replaces Ellie to Make Joel Playable

The Terminal of Us Part 2 was, by far, the most controversial game to come out of 2022. The Naughty Dog title was met past detest and anger from some who deemed the game "pointless" due to its narrative and the killing off of one of the titles nearly beloved characters, Joel.

Although I'd personally disagree with the former, I do have empathy for players who didn't desire Joel to die the fashion he did or at all. For those who would love nothing more than than to play The Concluding of Us Part 2 again but this time to accept Joel back, it seems a modder has been able to resurrect him in place of Ellie.

YouTuber smasher248 has taken the scene from the area where Ellie and Dina confront off confronting the wolves after getting kidnapped and replaced Ellie with Joel for a few precious moments. We see Joel running around the building, gun in paw, wearing his tanned leather jacket which will bring back a lot of emotional feelings equally the last time players saw it was hanging in the closet after his decease.

Unfortunately, Joel'due south vocalisation in this mod is still Ellie's as that would be pretty difficult to take out but it's still overnice to come across Ellie's father figure back again even if it'due south just for a short time. There'due south also another clip by Smasher that showcases Joel taking Ellie's place in the iconic "Take on Me" scene but, again, it's Ellie singing and not Joel'due south lovely voice. The scene is a niggling ruined though, but in a funny way, as his manus isn't even property the guitar's cervix!

Smasher says in the comment section of the video that their next goal is to take on Abby so for those who hated how it all went down, you may get a future video showing Joel taking out Abby instead of the other way around.
